We are currently seeking a freelance contractor for one of our major clients who meets the following requirements:
 

Job Description:
The Product Owner take care of an existing product which integrates services that enable access and exchange of data.

  • Working out a permission solution for the energy sector that will enable seamless exchange of data with third parties and give full control and transparency to people and companies over their data,
  • Improving and set up new dash boards that provide a trustworthy point of contact for companies and people to see their energy data.

The Product Owner is responsible for releasing a product that meets the customer’s/ end-user’s needs, for streamlining the execution of the program vision and priorities by defining user stories and prioritizing the product backlog.    The Product Owner play´s a significant role in quality assurance and are the     
only one empowered to accept requirements and stories as completed. In the position the Product Owner work together with a Product Manager. The Product Manager will focus on driving the further development of the regulatory environment in which we envision the business model of our product. This will allow the Product Owner to concentrate on developing a high-quality product. The Product Owner and the Product Manager will determine the vision, strategy and roadmap of the product.


Goal:
Build the MVP of our product and start operation of our service.
 

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap in cooperation with a Product Manager
  • Align the product vision and strategy with customer/end-user needs and company goals
  • Build the product backlog and prioritize user stories together with the scrum team
  • Continuously improve the product backlog to optimize efficiency and effectiveness and maximise value of the product
  • Accept sprint results of user stories at demonstration, discuss the work done with stakeholders and adjust the product backlog accordingly
  • Drive sprint and release plans with the Scrum Master and in alignment with the Product Manager
  • Resolve impediments as needed in the project
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and effectively communicate with them on the product vision, strategy, and performance
  • Follow agile processes and methodologies to deliver a maximum business value on time
  • Participate in retrospectives/team performance reviews to continually improve team processes
  • Take care of the quality standard´s from the product
  • Complete and thorough product testing and documentation
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across products and processes

 

Your Profile:

  • Knowing industry trends, user demands and pain points is a strong plus
  • Feel comfortable with (modern) technology to be able to engage in discussion with technology team to understand opportunities and risks
  • Able to coach team on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology to deliver max business value on time
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate complex messages to diverse stakeholders and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Leadership qualities enable to take fast and difficult product decisions
  • Ability to persuade and lead a team of diverse skillsets
  • Critical thinker who is passionate to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas
  • Out-of-the-box-thinking mentality to continuously learn and encourage the team to do the same
  • Proven experience in working as a Product Owner
  • Fluent German (C1) and English (C1)
  • Good understanding of the energy sector (especially in Germany)
  • Willingness to travel to  Brussels is required

  • Location: Remote (50%) und Berlin (50%)
  • Duration: 01.06.2024 - 31.05.2025 + optional Extension
  • Workload: Teilzeit (180PT)
